Sacombe Simmentals - Where Genetics Count!






	At Sacombe we pride ourselves on the wealth of Simmental genetics available to us. We have searched both the UK and worldwide for the best bloodlines and have used not only some of the breed’s greatest stars, but some more modern rising stars as well. We have a varied selection of Swiss, Austrian, German and French bloodlines in the herd, all with the same breed objectives vital for today’s market place – longevity, locomotion, fertility, calving ease and milk. We also have an extensive stock of embryos based on some of the herd’s major success stories.

kleeb

A legend in her own lifetime, Kleeb lived to the age of 23 and produced no fewer than 26 live calves. Progeny from her were exported to Canada, America, New Zealand and Australia. With over 20 members of her family currently working in the herd, it’s a testament to the quality of this cow family.

Although the original cow only produced two daughters back in the 70’s, this family has recently sprung to prominence and is now an integral part of the herd, producing many show winners.

An exceptional cow both in looks and performance –she was the star of the Simmental societies MOET scheme, producing many of the trial winners. A daughter, NOSCA Sacombe Apple, sold privately for £11,000 and she produced no fewer than 10 pedigree herd sires.

We were fortunate enough to purchase a daughter of the outstanding cow Charmante, three times Paris show champion to found this family. She was bred in the herd of G.A.E.C. St Hubert whose herd is without doubt the finest Simmental herd we have ever seen. Although in its infancy this family is already coming to the fore.
